Sad, Sad Boy
He feels not so great. At the hospital they had to debride the burns, which made me just a little queasy to watch. Besides cleaning the wounds, there wasn't much they could do, but gave him some Tylenol-3 and cream to keep on the burns. My task is to 'keep an eye' on him. They wanted to see him back in 2-3 days and then made an appointment for next Tuesday morning (I don't know either.). Until it starts to heal, they won't know if it will scar, and keeping the burns clean so they don't get infected is key. So if you're the prayin' kind, send an anti-bacterial prayer our way...

That pathetic look on his face!
I've never seen a picture of him where he doesn't have some goofy grin on his face. It's unnerving!
Please tell me he's just helping you get a good picture (and more sympathy votes) and isn't really that sad!
No... he's really that sad.
He can barely talk, nevermind smiling. His lips and cheeks - even up to his forehead is swollen, the mucous membranes inside of his lips are burned, and he's in an enormous amount of pain. (Yay, Codeine!)
The good news - no school again tomorrow...

Ouch! Sorry to hear and see what happened.
He's lucky he's got a mum like you around.
I think he'll need lots of mum-ness right now.
I hope he heals up well.

Prayer offered. It hurts to just look at him, so I can't even imagine what he feels like, not to mention you. I think he will heal up just fine though. I am praying that he will. Hang in there - all of you.
good thoughts in flight! lord, that does not look pleasant. poor kid. ugh. i guess it could have been much worse. hope the pain goes away sooooon!
Pure misery.....I'm sending 'heal quickly w/o infections' wishes but mostly - wishes to not hurt.
Those are just the type of injuries I thankfully never saw at the trainer. Germ free wishes his way.
I know this doesnt' help the pain, but i had burns similar to this at about the same age. I didn't scar thankfully, and I hope he won't either. I believe he is young and will kick this burn's butt.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph! I go AWOL a couple of days and this is what I get? I'm so so sorry to hear that he's wounded and I'm feverently praying for a speedy and scar free recovery.
Poor Baby :( I'm with Betty - I have never see him with this... look....
And no fun color in his hair either. Not even a mohawk.
