The News, It Is Good

I got the job.......

(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I start training on Monday.

In the nutshell, I'm an Intervention Specialist, working with families in need of services (parental education, coping skills, general life skills...) referred to my company, from the Department of Child Services.

Thanks for the well-wishes, crossed fingers, and prayers!

Excellent!

Is this the one you interviewed for at the college, or something else?

Yay!

MB - Heh. No joke there.

Annie - "She who knows me too well."

Chris - Thanks - I think it was your crossed fingers.

Brenda - Me TOO! And a fairly nice paycheck, too. :)

Betty - No. Which is why I'm so stinkin' excited about this job. It's a Real Job. It's what I studied in college.

I'll be basically a private social worker (as opposed to being employed by the County). Also, my company offers many, many continuing education opportunities, which I dig, and I love the company philosophy and leaders.

In the nutshell, a perfect fit. :)

Congrats! I knew you would get the job! I was curious about the educational perks. I'm jealous. I was on my way back to school but then I got knocked up.

HA! She who is drinking tea should not read Rach's comments. Almost sprayed my screen.

And hopefully, the same thing won't happen to me before I can grab a few classes. :)

Yay for perfect fits! Annie's remark is, incidentally, why I'm self-employed, working from home. Don't need 'em then.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are the perfect person to teach people how to bounce back.
Just a little note: resist the urge to walk over to client, grab her shoulders and say "GET OVER IT and MOVE ON!" But please feel free to use that tactic with me if the need arises.

YAY! I'm so proud of you :) But honestly, dealing with people?!? This is not our strong suit. Perhaps since you know these people have some issues it shall be OK...

Remember. Coffee on Fridays!

MB - that made me laugh!
