Because Everything Is Fair Game. Just ask Dillon and Mackenzie.

Actual mail received:

(on a postcard addressed to "Brandi")
"Hi. I'm at the 'Scrub-a-Dub' :) washing my throw rugs I've been carrying around in my trunk for several months. :{ I really don't know why I'm washing them. They will only get dirty again! :) That's all!!"

xxxxooo Omm

This is what I love about my mom, Omm. She spent 39 cents to tell me she was at the Scrub-a-Dub washing rugs. And then followed it up with letters to Dillon and Mackenzie informing them that she was at the Scrub-a-Dub washing rugs. Unfortunately, she loves them more than me because they each got $5.

OR maybe she did give me $5, but it got separated from my postcard. Maybe I should call the Post Office. They probably found it.

Your mom is so cute! I want notes like that! I'm with Betty, you better check that out and claim your money. :)

Don't you just love those kind of letters for you kids? I used to get those from my grandparents. It's a nice memory... :)

Fun! I like getting mail. Sha-na-na sent me a card the other day that said "You're a bad (and she scratched out bad and wrote good) influence on me" and had pictures of three girls doing shots at a bar. Hehehe.

I wish I got fun mail like this. If I send Omm my address, will she send me postcards too? I don't even need the $5.

And have you told me why she's 'Omm' and I just forgot or what?

My mom does that to my kids, but not always in a card. Mom and dad only live 8 miles from me, so we see them often, so she just hands it to them, or they have to play a game to get the reward. Often she puts money in a Valentines card or Halloween card. My grandfather 'poppy', use to give us kids a dollar every now and then....just because.

I like getting mail too....So, if anyone feels the need to send me a post card... I'll pass out my address.(money not necessary) :-)

*Often - should of been sometimes

I really need to read and re-read what I type, BEFORE I send it off.

I love it when I get random amounts of money from older relatives like this.

'Happy lunch! Here's 3 bucks.'

I LIKE IT! But, forget the packages... I think we should start with POSTCARDS!!! (cheaper) But, here's the catch, you send it to one, who adds a small note or even another postcard along with the original, and sends it on to another...

Anybody game?

Many many thoughts....

See what your mom started, Paige!

Homemade postcards, store bought postcards from where you live, fabric quilted postcards, pictures of your family, pets..etc, on a postcard... and of course, a description or how the card was produced, or a funny story.

Then.... who gets to keep them, or do we keep passing them along to someone new, like a book.. ohhh.. book, we have to keep them in a book. Then some year... way down the way... we'll donate it to the Smithsonian.
:-) We are history in the making!

It must be dinner time at the Paige household. I keep forgetting that they are NOT on the same time zone... YET!

We could call it... "The sister-hood of the traveling postcards" Yes... like the movie. Not original, but....

1) Tater's on the 2pm-10pm shift this week and this week, I'm Off Dinner Duty!

1.5) ROFLMAO! Look what happens when Mac and I bail to the pool for the afternoon! All hell has broken loose at Cartwheels!

B) Yay! What a great Idear! Let's kick it around a bit, formulate a plan, and then everyone can send me their addresses and I'll redistribute them all back out.

3) Betty, you are Genius!! Brenda~ You're an enabler... :)

Betty - Not even. I almost didn't even post it because I didn't want my mom to think I was being a jerk and making fun of her on the Internet.

(Which maybe I was (a little bit), but mostly she just cracks me up and I wanted everyone else to know how great she is.)
